A Global Cost and Commercial consulting firm in Bristol that operates across the Defence, Infrastructure and Construction sectors are looking for Senior Planners to join their dynamic Infrastructure team and work on some of the most exciting projects in the world.

You will:

  • Create, maintain and review schedules and plans that align to the overall requirements of the business’ plans.
  • Manage and monitor processes to integrate scheduling from across all projects and work streams within the programme.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to discuss the status of tasks and milestones in order to maintain the currency and accuracy of the plans, in particular with the Programme Management function in the programme.
  • Provide inputs to, and support for, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Develop and manage links between schedule and the Cost Estimate, supporting the phasing of the spend profile. 
  • Ensure the status of the programme is regularly updated to the wider programme team (particularly the Programme Management functions) through routine and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide inputs to, and support for, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.

Skills:

  • IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and Project (or equivalent) software.
  • Ability to manage and execute schedules within planning tools, in particular Primavera (P6).
  • Ability to load schedules with cost and resource, in order to provide analysis.
  • Communication skills, to effectively engage, promote and influence across a large range of stakeholders.
  • Analytically review areas of concern and liaise with project managers and senior management to address issues.
  • Development and delivery of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc management reports that are timely, accurate and actionable.
  • Ability to assess delivery and financial risks, contributing to Quantitative Risk Analysis and Risk Register updates.
  • Knowledge of planning tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of software packages used to manage and analyse schedules.
  • Knowledge of project and programme management. Experience of operating within a complex project or programme environment.
  • Experience of delivering accurate project plans and integration of plans from multiple projects and work streams.
  • Experience of resolving complex scheduling problems.
  • Experience of analysing data to identify options and solutions
